Seraphim Litter 2010

Although this litter was planned, it was not advertised or announced. One of our endeavours as keepers of the Barbet breed is to carefully and methodically research, understand and occasionally push boundaries to investigate health issues, genetic conditions and unknown illness causes. Serafina was born with a hepatic shunt (or portosystemic shunt, which is an abnormal connection that allows blood to bypass the liver, leading to serious health complications) and in order to realize the components of this issue, we bred her to Anton (her father) for verification.

On August 15, 2010, 3 darling and healthy little puppies were born to Serafina Biscay's Radiant Ruby. There was no liver shunt issue in any of the 3 pups. After a few months staying with us to ensure their soundness in health, they were placed in specially selected homes.

3 girls; 2 black and 1 brown. Ulysse, Ulalah and Uhura (Sweet Seraphim)
