Actually, on this rather warm and sunny day in July, Tug and Willie were the first Barbets to participate in an AKC-FSS Open Show...EVER! Tug (Tolouse Biscay's Sapphire) and Willie (Willbury Biscay's Fine Jasper) entered and participated in the Open Show sponsored by the Suffolk County Kennel Club in Long Island, NY on July 29, 2012 Tug was shown by Tracey Schnabel, and Willie was shown by Linda Kaplan...although not a supported entry, it was a monumental day, as the Barbet is not recognized by the AKC as of yet, and so to be given opportunity to take part in this event for rare breeds was an historical event. Tug went on to win BOB and an Irish Setter won Best in Open Show that day. Great job ladies...and Tug and Willie!! Thanks for your willingness to show and help the Barbet in America!
