Great News!! Congratulations to Tracey Schnabel and Tug (Tolouse Biscay's Sapphire) as we are VERY proud of both of you!! Tug and Tracey were certified as a Therapy team in August 4 2011 . The AKC recognizes the hard work and training of this distinction, and therefore recognizes this in the form of an AKC title: THD. Tracey your commitment to the breed, and of course, to Tug is so evident!! Thank you for working hard to show the versatility and ability of the Barbet!!
Also, the American Humane Association is holding the first annual Hero Dog Awards on November 11, 2011. They are recognizing Service Dogs, Law Enforcement/Arson Dogs, Search and Rescue Dogs, Emerging Hero Dogs, Military Dogs, Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs and Therapy Dogs. Tug is one of the Therapy Dogs that has been nominated to receive this award.
